I believe empathy is a superpower. It is a force that binds us to the world in unexpected ways. It has been key to my understanding of client needs, to building meaningful relationships, coaching executives, and developing digital products from real users’ needs. Empathy has taught me the importance of suspending judgment and putting aside my preconceived ideas of how things should be. It has taught me to truly listen and engage authentically and honestly. It has, in turns, enabled me to shift my own perspective, grow personally and design innovative solutions that would not been possible without it.

I firmly believe that empathy is equally transformative for organisations, leaders, and employees alike. What often gets in the way of realising the human potential in organisations is the lack of mutual empathy and authentic connection organisation and employee. Organisations and leaders that engage with empathy and authenticity are better positioned to attract, develop, and retain talent effectively. By establishing a clear sense of purpose, values, and individuals’ characteristics that can drive their mission forward, organisations have the opportunity to create an environment where employees can align their personal purpose with that of the organisation. This alignment is bigger than its component parts.It can ignite authentic, purpose-driven growth, benefiting both individuals and the organisation as a whole.
